Rocklin

Rocklin is a preferred location to live, work, visit, and grow business because of its convenient location, high quality of life, excellent schools, A lot of residents move to Rocklin for the schools (Rocklin Unified Schools District) and the affordable homes (median home price is $350,000). Rocklin may have had a measly population of 10,000 in 1980, but it has grown to a bustling 55,000 residents. The pros of living in Rocklin include no traffic, no industrial areas, homes spread out with wetlands and creeks interspersed throughout, and an overall rural vibe. Rocklin also made the cut in Money Magazine’s 2010 listing of top 100 American small towns.  It is within 20 minutes of Folsom Lake, 30 minutes to downtown Old Sacramento, and less than 2 hours to Lake Tahoe or San Francisco.
